You will use ten personalized techniques to keep the stress and strain of the modern world of work from affecting you.  You will know what outside help you might use and how to help others relax.

Stress is a mind-body phenomenon.  Your body will give you the warning signs (tight shoulders, headache, heartburn, low immune system response etc) that tell you that your mind is expecting something that the world is not presenting.  Recognize those signs, give up being right and use your practiced relaxation techniques.

Stressed about your own performance?  Use your time and task management skills. Is it the environment or other people which have you upset?  Assert yourself, ask for what you want and let go of specific results from others. 

Regardless of what you or anyone else does or achieves, remember that your emotional and physical responses are your own choice.

  1. Breathe deeply twice an hour;
  2. Think of someone you love;
  3. Think of a beautiful calm place;
  4. Do simple math problems;
  5. Take your pulse;
  6. Take a walk;
  7. Pray;
  8. Meditate;
  9. Sing your favorite song and
  10. S-T-R-E-T-C-H.
